We are a small non-profit and Hannah has been truly a life saver. She shows us the way forward and keeps us on track. We wanted to learn the art and science of fundraising, so that we could grow and become more sustainable. We knew right from the start that Hannah was just what we needed - an enthusiastic, well-informed and professional consultant to help us bring our fundraising to the next level. Immediately, she took the time to understand and appreciate our organization and helped us to create a set of tangible and achievable goals. While she fostered independence, she guided us every step of the way. In all of our communications with Hannah, we found her to be energetic, knowledgeable and always upbeat and positive. With her help, we launched our first end-of-year campaign, which more than doubled our assets! More specifically, she helped us create a thorough database of current and future donors, write appeal letters and emails and gave us strategies to maximize our social media communications and outreach. She helped us to create our annual budget, our fundraising timeline and calendar and even researched possible grant opportunities. Perhaps most importantly, she helped us become more invigorated and confident that we could continue on the path she helped us establish.

In early 2018, The Writer’s Center (TWC) faced a perfect fundraising storm. Facing tremendous upheaval, both externally (a major building renovation) and, perhaps more crucially, internally: both our Executive and Development Directors quit, within weeks of each other.Between the disruption of physical files, their lack of well-preserved electronic files and the loss of institutional memory, the risk of missed opportunities, mishandled funders and overlooked donors was substantial. On a colleague’s recommendation, I (Margaret, the newly-installed-board-member-turned-Executive-Director) reached out to Hannah for help. With her unflagging energy and perpetual good cheer, Hannah assisted TWC in vetting each potential permanent Development Director. She ensured that TWC not only captured a meaningful historical overview of its individual, foundation and corporate connections, but also kept the fundraising train moving forward during this tumultuous time.Her fact-gathering was so meticulously researched and organized that when Amy came on board (our new Development Director) she was able to hit the ground running, bringing in fresh revenue within a matter of weeks. We are both tremendously grateful for Hannah’s skill, dedication and joie de vivre in sharing what she does. Our jobs would have been immensely more difficult without her.
Hannah Zollman is a launch pad for bringing your organization to the next level, whatever that is for you. We are an organization that has grown tremendously in the last 10 years, from managing less than $3 million to almost $15 million in housing and services for people who are chronically homeless and have multiple severe and persistent disabilities. Our growth has been organic based on the needs of our community. We managed it well, but did not expand our infrastructure at the same rate as our services. Development, marketing and relationship building with our stakeholders suffered. In walked Hannah. She is meticulously organized and practices her craft well. She identified our needs, prioritized them, and helped to hire and onboard staff to meet them. She has coached and mentored our staff, and me, in a gracious and productive manner. She is an aggregator of pertinent information. She functions as an extension of our staff, much more than a consultant, and our development efforts are thriving, in large part, because of her help!

Hannah has been invaluable to me as I built an integrated fundraising and marketing department for my agency. We grew from one staff person to three and really built the department from the ground up, building and documenting processes and procedures as we go. Hannah was a fantastic source of knowledge for best practices and templates, but the most integral support she provided was coaching me through the hiring and on-boarding of two staff members. I’m a relatively new manager and relied heavily on Hannah to support me (and my team members) through our first few months as a team. Hannah’s insights into the dynamics that were developing and how to either foster that growth or redirect it into a more productive relationships were spot on.
